Therapy can help individuals become progressively mindful of the connection between thoughts, feelings, and patterns that might lead to frequent challenges in one’s life. Reasons individuals and families seek therapy may be due to anxiety, depression, chronic stress, relational issues, low self-esteem, trauma, personality and behavioral challenges, mood fluctuation, and understanding one’s identity. Therapy Treatment Modalities:

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based approach utilized to treat a wide scope of issues. CBT addresses negative thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that may lead to unhealthy choices and personal obstacles. Some aspects of CBT include:

  • Change and shift thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that lead to “stuck patterns”
  • Recognize and learn approaches to manage feelings
  • Adapt and adjust to unexpected circumstances or life stressors

Cognitive Processing Therapy

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) can support individuals with ways to figure out how to challenge and change unhealthy thoughts. In this approach, one learns how to reframe thoughts in relation to difficult experiences in an effort to enhance their life.

Interpersonal Therapy

Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) is utilized for individuals with significant interpersonal challenges. The primary objective of IPT is to improve the nature of a client’s relationships to reduce distress. IPT provides strategies to resolve problems that may include but are not limited to:

  • Interpersonal issues, including social isolation or involvement in unfulfilling relationships
  • Difficult life transitions such as retirement, divorce, moving to another city, or ending a romantic relationship
  • Interpersonal disputes that emerge from conflicting expectations between partners, family members, close friends, or coworkers

Insight Oriented Therapy

Insight Oriented Therapy derives from the concept he better you know yourself, the better you will function.Self-awareness incorporates symptom improvement and alleviation, along with improvement in your work, academic, social, romantic, and general health. Insight-oriented psychotherapy strives to teach you how and why you function in the ways you do, and to clarify your motivations. It allows you to explore and interpret your internal world, and enhance self-knowledge.

Family Systemic Therapy

Family Systemic Therapy (FST) view the family as an unit. Family treatment recognizes generational rules and patterns and its effect on family and individual roles. Recognizing multi-generational patterns can assist individuals with perceiving how their present issues might be playing out in the family.
